The Mob Museum

300 Stewart Avenue
Las Vegas, Nevada, 89101

The National Museum of Orgamized Crime & Law Enforcement offers a bold and authentic view of organized crime from vintage Las Vegas to the back alleys of American cities and—increasingly—across the borders and networks of the entire world. Explore the real stories and actual events of Mob history through interactive exhibits and one-of-a-kind Mob and law enforcement artifacts found inside our restored 1933 former courthouse and post office building located just minutes from Fremont Street.

They are open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm everyday, except for Saturday, April 14, when it will close at 6:30 pm for a private event. New exhibits include a crime lab experience, use of force training experience, and an organized crime today exhibit. Red Rock Canyon Tours

The 195,819-acre (79,245-hectare) Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area in Nevada comprises a network of narrow canyons, seasonal waterfalls, rock art sites, and surreal rock formations with ample opportunity for hiking, biking, rock climbing, and desert wildlife watching, all a short drive from Las Vegas. Some of the best views of the American Southwest landscape come from the Red Rock Canyon Overlook, a 13-mile scenic loop through the park that gives visitors a look at the Mojave Desert scenery from the comfort of a car or bicycle. Tour options are plentiful—horseback rides, guided hikes, electric bike rides, Segway, and scooter tours, or even a romantic hot air balloon ride.

Things to Know if you Go:

Wear comfortable shoes suitable for walking over uneven ground.
The canyon provides little shade, so don't forget to bring sunscreen, a hat, and plenty of drinking water.
Most tours from Las Vegas last four to six hours.

Visit the Hoover Dam

Located just 40 minutes from Las Vegas, the Hoover Dam is one of Americas most impressive engineering acheivements and it's a must see for all ages.

Built during the Depression; thousands of men and their families came to Black Canyon to tame the Colorado River. It took less than five years, in a harsh and barren land, to build the largest dam of its time. Now, years later, Hoover Dam still stands as a world-renowned structure. The Dam is a National Historic Landmark and has been rated by the American Society of Civil Engineers as one of America's Seven Modern Civil Engineering Wonders. -- Beaureau of Relacmation.

Please go to the Bureau of Reclamation's Hoover Dam page for more information and Visitor Center Exhibits tickets. Tours are not currently available.
